Hi, I'm Betty.
Licensed Medicare agent, neighbor, and proud plain-English speaker.
My story starts the way a lot of these stories do — with my parents. When my dad turned 65, he got buried in a pile of Medicare mailers, TV commercials, and confusing government letters. My mom, who usually figures everything out, was completely lost. They spent weeks stressed out, and I remember thinking: Why is this so hard? Why isn't there just a person who can sit down and explain it?
Turns out, that person exists — they're called a Medicare agent. And once I found a good one to help my parents, I was hooked. I thought, “I want to do this.” I wanted to be the person who takes the stress away. So I got licensed, got trained, and eight years ago, I started helping folks right here in Anytown.
Eight years later, I've helped hundreds of people in our community find the right Medicare plan. Not the plan that makes me the most money — the plan that actually fits their life. Their doctors, their medications, their budget.
I still live right here in Anytown. I shop at the same grocery store you do. I know the local doctors. And when you call me, you get me — not a phone tree, not a recorded message, not a call center in another state.
What I love most about this work is the moment when someone who was confused and anxious walks away feeling calm and confident. That never gets old. That's why I keep doing this, and that's why I'll keep doing it for as long as the folks in Anytown need me.
